Maryann and Wayne started Around the House and have been working together since 2002. Each of us has our own areas of interest and expertise. For Maryann, it is tile. For Wayne it is carpentry. But even when the project calls for skills that aren't our absolute favorites, we complete the job with professionalism and caring to make your home something of which both you and we can be proud.

We do nearly all the work ourselves. In some instances, we must bring in other contractors due to licensing requirements or because the work requires specialized tools, insurance, or (very rarely) expertise that we don't have.

Wayne has Massachusetts Construction Supervisor's license (#091949) and we are a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor firm (#135208). Both of us are also trained in EPA's lead paint laws and are registered in Massachusetts since they have taken over enforcement of RRP in this state.
